Position: Analyst

Description

The Analyst’s responsibilities will include assisting on all aspects of LP Analyst’s business including private equity and venture capital focused diligence, monitoring, valuation, and various consulting projects on behalf of the firm’s institutional investor client base.

Overall, the analyst will have an opportunity to gain broad exposure to the private equity and venture capital asset classes as well as an understanding of market participants, including fund managers, institutional investors, and various intermediaries.

Skills Required

  • Strong background in finance, accounting, economics or related field
  • Proven track record of being a top performer in academic and/or professional settings
  • Strong Excel experience; proficiency in Powerpoint
  • Ability to manage deliverables / interact with clients
  • Motivated self-starter with exceptional work ethic and careful attention to detail
  • Interest in alternative asset consulting / private equity and venture capital

Position: Intern

Description

The Intern’s responsibilities will include providing support across all aspects of LP Analyst’s business. The Intern will work closely with LP Analyst team members on a variety of projects which could include:

1) Researching a range of private equity related topics,
2) Assisting with components of client deliverables,
3) Working with private equity fund financial statements,
4) Organizing data and completing ‘ad-hoc’ analysis, and
5) Supporting the marketing of the firm’s solutions.

Position: Data Analyst

Description

The Data Analyst’s responsibilities will include assisting on LP Analyst’s private equity fund monitoring business. The Data Analyst will have an opportunity to gain broad exposure to the private equity and venture capital asset classes as well as an understanding of the various market participants, including fund managers, institutional investors, and various intermediaries.  This position is focused on financial statement analysis and data capture. Attention to detail is critical, as is the ability to use judgement to research and classify various underlying assets.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 (degree in Math, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field preferred)
  • 0-2 years of experience (e.g., Finance, Back Office, Fund Administration)
  • Experience working with large data sets preferred
  • Strong Excel abilities, including advanced functions (macros a plus)
  • Data Visualization and SQL Database experience preferred
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to use judgement when researching companies
  • Strong attention to detail and desire to contribute to growing firm
